Biography

 

Beginnings:   I was born on April 9, 1976 in Hebbronville, Texas.  Since the age of four, I loved being in the spotlight because I love to dance.  While others were dating, my friends and I would go to the local dances and have a ball.   As I continued growing up, I attended modeling school.  It was always my goal to be strong, but feminine.
I’m presently calling Laredo, Texas home.

Physical Fitness:  I was born into a very athletic family.  In Hebbronville, it’s all about football.  My brother is one of the main reasons I am committed to physical fitness.  He was a Captain of the #1 Mighty Longhorn Football team in the 80’s.  Watching his leadership and desire to compete made me want to do the same.  I chose track and field, volleyball and basketball as my sports to conquer.

Goals:  I know my goal on earth would be incomplete without the love of God.  My love for him, my faith and strong family ties have helped me achieve every victory in my life.  These beliefs continue to take me to new levels of competition in the Professional arena. 

Favorite Music:  I love to feed my soul with goodness!  Spiritual music takes me to new heights and helps me to continue to working towards my goals.  There is also music out there that just tickles my heart.  I know it when I hear it.

Favorite Food:  My father is a Master Chef. He can whip up a Carne Guisada and homemade stuffing that are second to no one.  Growing up Hispanic has let me take a tour of all the delicious Mexican food out there.  However, there is a limit to what I eat, especially when I’m training.

Competition:  I have a Nursing degree, but a man named Anthony De La Garza is one of the main people responsible for my desire to compete.  Anthony is not only my coach.  He is also my fiancée.   Anthony is a former Mr. Texas in the Body Building Industry.  He  keeps me focused with my nutrition, and with a blink of an eye can tell me what I need to do to take my training to the next level.  He is my constant companion at all of my competitions.  I give God, and Anthony much of the credit for my successes to this point.    

My Occupation:  My official title is Regional Manager at Laredo’s three Body Factory Fitness Centers.  It is an honor working with such a talented and committed team.  With their support, I get the chance to meet a lot of people with health goals.  Nothing makes me happier than to help someone get started on the track to a healthy life.

My First Competition:  I remember it well.  It was the Cornerstone Classic Competition in the Rio Grande Valley.  As a General Manager of Fitness Centers there, I instilled a lot of dedication and determination to my members.  I practice what I preach.  I never quit.  That driving force that led me to first place in this competition was God.  He guides me through all of my victories and challenges.

Professional Figure Model Goals:  My mission in life to have a physical, mind-body and soul connection.  As an I.F.B.B. Pro Figure Model, I want to be able to reach out to as many people as I can in the Fitness industry.  I want them to understand the importance of proper nourishment both physically and spiritually.  Last, but not least, I would like to make myself a name next to top-ranked competitors in high ranking shows.  The Miss Olympia competition is one I have my eye on.  I know I can do it with determination and support.  As my coach always says, quitting is never an option.
